This week we completely re-upholstered one "Cooper's ‘Washington design' low-backed" four piece suite, comprising one three seater sofa, two armchairs and one lift-top footstool, in a best quality flame retardant "Linwood" flatweave fabric. This beautiful pale pattern looks great but needs very careful matching to make sure that the alignment is just so, keeping with the symmetrical lines of the furniture.
We also, to replaced existing seat cushion interiors with best quality flame retardant "Reflex" interiors, which carry a ten year guarantee. They were also wrapped in a secondary casing, comprising Dacron and stockinette, to prolong cushion life. We also replaced existing back cushion interiors with best quality flame retardant "Fibre-fill" interiors, which were made one inch thicker than the original cushions (please see explanation below). The combination of "Reflex" and "Fibre-fill" ensures maximum comfort, quality and durability.
All four pieces were completely stripped back to the frames and all interiors replaced with best quality flame retardant interiors to ensure they are all restored to "as new".
As mentioned above, alterations were made to the suite to invisibly reduce the depth of the seat, as requested by our clients. The inside back was modified and made one inch thicker which, along with the deeper back cushion interiors, invisibly reduced the depth of the seat.
Lastly, all four pieces were finished with a hand-stitched flat skirt and eight scatter cushions were made to complement the suite.
Our clients said their "new" suite "looked outstanding" and was even more comfortable than it was originally.
