Image: 1479 - Previous Client - Different Suite
Bold co-ordination of three fabrics has made this suite really stand out. To re-upholster their suite comprising one three seater sofa, a two seater sofa-bed and a footstool, this client chose three best quality, flame-retardant "Christina Marrone" chenille fabrics from the same range. The bodies of the sofa and the sofa bed were upholstered in a plain chenille with a bold co-ordinating striped chenille for the cushions. To provide another aspect to the co-ordinated contrast, a patterned fabric was chosen for the footstool. As always when mixing and matching fabrics in this way, the matching of patterns to shapes has to be absolutely spot-on, which calls for great attention to duty and meticulous methods. Prior to upholstery, all three pieces were stripped back to the frames and all other interiors (i.e. arms, backs and seats) replaced with best quality flame retardant interiors. This is our standard practice and is essential to ensure they are all completely restored to "as new". Before applying the fabrics, this way, we know that the foundation they will rely on is perfect. We also replaced existing seat cushions with best quality flame retardant "Reflex" interiors, which carry a ten year guarantee. They were also wrapped in a secondary casing, comprising Dacron and stockinette to prolong cushion life. We also replaced existing back cushion interiors with best quality flame retardant "Fibre-fill" interiors. The combination of "Reflex" and "Fibre-fill" ensures maximum comfort, quality and durability. Lastly, all three pieces were finished with a rolled edge and two scatter cushions finished the look beautifully. Our clients said they loved it and we had transformed their suite!
