Image: 1309 - Fashionable, subtle check fabric sits well on these reclining armchairs
The checked fabric chosen by our client for these two reclining armchairs is very "on trend". Right now, checked patterns and tartan fabrics are much in demand. They look stylish and welcoming, but have to be very meticulously applied as even a tiny error in pattern matching will stand out like a sore thumb. Our clients were delighted with the end result, both in terms of appearance and comfort. They filled in the "Which?" Trusted Trader feedback form, over which we have absolutely no influence with the following review: "Extremely pleased with all aspects of the work. We would have no hesitation in recommending and using them again. Richard went out of his way to source the material we wanted. Job well done!" To get the detail and the finish right, you must first of all have an absolutely sound foundation so, as always, both pieces were stripped back to the frame to make sure that was sound before replacing existing seat cushion interiors with best quality flame retardant "Reflex" interiors, which carry a ten-year guarantee. The cushions were also wrapped in a secondary casing, comprising Dacron and stockinette, to prolong cushion life. Existing back cushion interios were replaced with best quality flame retardant "Fibre-fill" interiors. The combination of "Reflex" and "Fibre-fill" ensures maximum comfort, quality and durability. Lastly, both armchairs were finished with a hand-stitched flat skirt. Two scatter cushions and arm caps completed the look! These armchairs will stay in great condition for many years to come now and the subtle colour scheme will blend in well with a wide range of interior décor, leaving our client free to decorate as often as they wish before their chairs next need re-upholstering.
