This week, a client brought us their two, two seater sofas and chose two co-ordinating "Jim Dickins" best quality, flame retardant fabrics. The main bodies of the sofas were upholstered in a self-coloured flatweave fabric, while the seat, back and cushions were re-covered in a contrasting, complementary patterned fabric. As always with such fabrics, great care had to be taken to ensure perfect pattern matching. Meticulous attention to detail and great patience are vital in getting the very best result possible.
Before re-upholstery, both sofas were stripped back and interiors replaced, as and where necessary with best quality flame retardant interiors to ensure they were both restored to "as new" condition.
For the greatest possible comfort, quality and durability, we also replaced existing seat cushion interiors with best quality flame retardant "Reflex" interiors, which carry a ten-year guarantee. They were also wrapped in a secondary casing, comprising Dacron and stockinette, to prolong cushion life. Also, to replace existing back cushion interiors with best quality flame retardant "Fibre-fill" interiors.
The fabrics were beautifully brought together with flanged cord finish and lastly, both sofas were finished with a rolled edge, arm caps made to protect the arms of the sofas and four scatter cushions to finish the look.
Our clients loved it and said it was better than when it was brand new!
