Image: 1195 - 1930s Occasional Chairs

They really knew how to make an occasional chair back in the 1930s. Elegance and style just ooze from every one. Being made by craftsmen at the time, using best quality materials and traditional skills, the even better news is that they should last a lifetime and can be re-upholstered many times to bring back their comfort and "as new" appearance

This week we completely re-upholstered two beautiful examples.

Our clients chose two best quality flame retardant "Christina Marrone" fabrics, which complemented the styles of the chairs perfectly.

Both the fluted back chair and the pleated and deep-buttoned back chairs were stripped back to the frames, which were in great condition, befor being traditionally re-upholstered and restored to "as new".

The quiet, understated fabrics show off the contours of these two beautiful pieces of furniture, whic were a pleasure to work on.
