Image: 1024 - 2015 04 17 1930s Flute Backed Suite 004
The elegance of this 1930s flute back suite had been compromised by a previous attempt at re-upholstery which wasn't carried out to the high standard that the furniture deserved. Despite the original templates being lost through sub-standard work, we were able to restore this classic art-deco suite to its former glory. It was plain that we had done a good job when the clients exclaimed "You did it!" as soon as their furniture was returned to them. They hadn't seen it looking so good for some thirty years, and were delighted with the comfort and appearance achieved in this restoration. The suite was covered in a best quality flame retardant "Warwick" crushed fabric. This fabric is incredibly durable and hard-wearing, so will retain its luxurious good looks for many years. We replaced existing seat cushion interiors with best quality flame retardant "Reflex" interiors, which carry a ten year guarantee. The cushions were also wrapped in a secondary casing, comprising Dacron and stockinette, to prolong cushion life. "Reflex" interiors ensure maximum comfort, quality and durability. We re-made existing flute backs, to original specification. All three pieces were completely stripped back to the frame and all interiors replaced with best quality flame retardant interiors to ensure they are all restored to "as new". We are looking forward to the feedback from this delighted client!
